We're extremely grateful to the ANZ Institute for their very generous $100,000 donation to the QLife program.
QLife supports healthy lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans/transgender, intersex, queer and other sexuality, gender, and bodily diverse (LGBTIQ+) people and communities throughout Australia.
LGBTIQ+ Health Australia’s QLife program provides anonymous, LGBTIQ+ peer support and referral for people in Australia wanting to talk about a range of issues including sexuality, identity, gender, bodies, feelings or relationships. QLife services are free and include both telephone and webchat support, delivered by trained LGBTIQ+ community members across the country. QLife services are for LGBTIQ+ individuals, their friends and families, and health professionals.
The entirety of ANZ Institute's generous donation will be distributed to the four state-based partner organisations that deliver the service with the support of a team of vital and passionate volunteers.
QLife’s partners are Diverse Voices in Queensland, Living Proud in Western Australia, Switchboard in Victoria and Twenty10 (inc GLCS) in New South Wales. The donation will be used to provide social and emotional wellbeing support for up to 2000 LGBTIQ+ people throughout 2021.
QLife is primarily funded by the Australian Government and operates as a unique partnership model. LGBTIQ+ Health Australia is the contract holder and provides support and national coordination of QLife.
Many people within the LGBTIQ+ community are feeling isolated at the moment. It’s important to remember, you are part of a strong community that’s here for you.
