Free Introduction to LGBTIQ+ Mental Health and Suicide Prevention eModule

The Champions Introduction to LGBTIQ+ Mental Health and Suicide Prevention eModule is now live!

MindOut Champions was established in 2013 as a way to empower those working in mental health and suicide prevention to work effectively with people from the LGBTIQ+ community. This eModule is intended as a practical resource to help service providers provide safe, affirming and informed support to LGBTIQ+ people who are struggling or may be at higher risk of suicidality.

Training Overview:

This course was designed and evaluated using the lived experience expertise of LGBTIQ+ people affected by mental health and suicide. It aims to go beyond a basic introduction to LGBTIQ+ terminology and instead look at what is working right now to prevent suicide and improve quality of life within our communities. It comes off the back of the Beyond Urgent: Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Strategy launched last year and is free to use right now by anyone working or interested in mental health and suicide prevention.
