LGBTIQ+ Health Australia acknowledges the Queensland Government’s harmful decision to continue its ban on puberty blockers and gender-affirming hormones for trans and gender diverse young people.

The timing of this decision is misguided as it is directly before the holiday period when peer support services are winding down. LHA and its members will take time to consider the Independent Review Advice Report before formally responding in 2026.
