Communications Coordinator

As Communications Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting LHA’s internal programs and external communications. From designing branded resources and merchandise to producing engaging digital content, you’ll help ensure our message is clear, consistent, and impactful.

You’ll work closely with teams across the organisation to meet their design and content needs, while also helping to streamline internal processes for managing communications requests.


What you will do:

  • Design branded resources, reports, and promotional materials.
  • Create and schedule content for social media, newsletters, and LHA’s website.
  • Support the development of merchandise and campaign collateral.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand and deliver on their communications needs.
  • Help develop internal systems to manage and track communications requests efficiently.

What we are looking for:

You’re a creative and strategic thinker with:

  • Tertiary qualification in communications, graphic design, marketing, media, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Experience in graphic design and digital content creation.
  • Proficiency in design software: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and experience with Canva.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • A collaborative, can-do attitude and a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector and knowledge of accessible design principles will be highly regarded.

  • Convenient office locations: This role is open to people based in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. The Sydney office is based next to Museum station and a short walk from Central station. LHA’s Melbourne hub is based at the Victorian Pride Centre in St Kilda, and in Canberra we are closely located to Civic.
