The Department of Health has funded LHA to deliver a three-year project that aims to build the capacity of the palliative care sector to provide inclusive services to LGBTIQ+ people accessing palliative and end-of-life care. This will be achieved through research, training (e-modules for health professionals) and development of Community of Practice groups.
The codesign team will be involved in the development of online e-modules, targeted at health care professionals with the primary audience being nurses and general practitioners.
Expressions of Interest are invited from people with a range of experiences in palliative care, from health care professions and LGBTIQ+ people with lived experience, to educators and trainers experienced in the development of e-modules and e-learning.
Those wanting to participate should contact Hannah Morgan, LGBTIQ+ Health Australia Palliative Care Coordinator with the following information:
- Your name and contact details.
- A brief description of why you want to be involved in the co-design team and what you think you could contribute e.g., professional knowledge, lived experience or skills.
- Please also let us know if you will be participating on behalf of your current employer in paid work hours.
You can find out more about the role, and how to contact Hannah, in the EOI document below.
