Advance notice
LHA is proud to be working with the Australian Government to administer the LGBTIQA+ Health Program (LHP) in 2026. The LHP is an exciting grants program that will support organisations offering health and wellbeing services to LGBTIQA+ people to apply for grants that enable the implementation of key elements of the National Action Plan for the Health and Wellbeing of LGBTIQA+ People 2025-2035 (National Action Plan).
This advance notice contains information for grants available through the first round of the LHP. The LHP contributes to delivery of the National Action Plan in line with the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA) and Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles 2024 (CGRPs).
The first funding round will commence in March 2026. Organisations with specialist expertise in LGBTIQA+ health and wellbeing are invited to apply for one-off competitive grants to support new and existing initiatives at the local, regional and national level that will foster access to appropriate, culturally sound and inclusive health care.
The National Action Plan for the Health and Wellbeing of LGBTIQA+ People 2025-2035 is available for download on the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing website.
The LGBTIQA+ Health Program is a program of the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, administered by LGBTIQ+ Health Australia.
