What is Transforming Families?

We know that parental support is a strong protective factor for trans and gender diverse children and young people. Based on Telethon Kids previous research, parents generally lack understanding and/or access to good quality information about gender diversity, and this can interfere with providing appropriate support.

The aim of Transforming Families is to enhance parental understanding and support of trans children, strengthening family wellbeing via a digital hub of evidence-based resources and information related to gender diversity.
