Vivienne Claire |
Vivienne Claire is 64 years old. She was emotionally programmed by her mother to believe that being transgender was on the same level as a practicing pedophile. In spite of that she taught Computer Science at Curtin University for 25 years. Finally, the emotional pain of suppressing her true gender became overwhelming and, at age 60, she began her transition. |
Maxine Drake |
Maxine was raised in Sydney and enjoyed a busy and physical childhood. A solo holiday in Perth at 18 became a migration to the west, where sexuality and identity were discovered. Study, work, family and community have made Perth well and truly home. |
Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate diversity, challenge ageism, and honour the voices that have shaped our world.
Staff, volunteers and delegates of LHA Full, Regular and Affiliate member organisations can attend free as part of their membership benefits.
