LHA has provided a submission on the inquiry into the relationship between domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) and suicide which underscores the heightened and compounding risks faced by LGBTIQ+ people, particularly where experiences of violence intersect with stigma, discrimination and barriers to support.

Our submission called for integrated, trauma-informed responses, improved data collection aligned with the ABS 2020 Standard, and greater investment in specialist services delivered by LGBTIQ+ community-controlled organisations.
