Submission on National Cancer Data Framework - LGBTIQ+ Health Australia

Submission on National Cancer Data Framework

LGBTIQ+ Health Australia (LHA) has provided a submission in response to the National Cancer Data Framework consultation.

The submission highlights the unique cancer-related disparities faced by LGBTIQ+ populations and offers actionable recommendations to ensure inclusivity and equity in data collection, reporting, and healthcare delivery. Key recommendations include adopting the 2020 Standard for inclusive data collection, embedding equity as a central principle, and prioritising collaboration with LGBTIQ+ community-controlled organisations. By implementing these measures, Cancer Australia can better address the systemic barriers impacting LGBTIQ+ health outcomes.
