The Bi+ Sexual Health and HIV Study (BiSHH) is the first national survey of sex, health and relationships designed specifically for bi+ people in Australia. The study included 2,109 participants from across Australia and provides new evidence about the health, wellbeing, relationships and experiences of bi+ people.

The study was coordinated by the Kirby Institute, UNSW Sydney and was developed through meaningful consultation with a community advisory group of 12 bi+ people from diverse lived experiences from across Australia.

This webinar will present key findings from the BiSHH community report, Understanding sex, health, and relationships among bi+ people in Australia, exploring what the research tells us about the diversity of bi+ people’s lives and some of the significant health and wellbeing issues identified through the study.

The webinar is being held on Bi+ Visibility Day, providing a timely opportunity to consider what greater visibility of bi+ people means not only socially, but within research, data, policy and health service delivery.

Bella Bushby is a queer bi+ PhD candidate at the Kirby Institute, UNSW Sydney. Her work focuses on bi+ sexual health and wellbeing.
