On Wednesday 4 February 2025, LGBTIQ+ Health Australia hosted Policy and Research Seminar “Where are we now? Research on gender dysphoria and priorities for Australia”

This session presented findings from a comprehensive 2024 research review commissioned by NSW Health through the Sax Institute.

Professor Peter Bragge of Monash University:

  • Examined the evidence base for current intervention approaches
  • Presented recommendations for strengthening research in Australia
  • Analysed international developments in comparable healthcare systems.
