Webinar: See yourself in data - Estimates and characteristics of LGBTI+ populations in Australia

On Thursday 20 March 2025, LGBTIQ+ Health Australia hosted a Policy and Research seminar where the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ (ABS) presented their latest analysis on LGBTI+ populations.

Nicole Capper and Elise Kennedy explored the methodology, key statistics, and insights from the first experimental estimates of LGBTI+ populations by the ABS, shedding light on the representation, diversity, and characteristics of these communities. The session also discusses the data’s potential implications for policymaking, service delivery, and future research.
