Factsheet: LGBTI People and Dementia

This factsheet is specifically for aged care workers to provide guidance on how to support LGBTI people living with dementia in aged care.

LGBTI older people have often lived through times where their differences were seen as abnormal, and they are more likely to have experienced physical violence, imprisonment, abuse and bullying than other people.

With background history, a case study and key responsibilities under the quality standards, this factsheet will assist aged care workers in gaining an insight into the LGBTI people with dementia under their care.
