Leadership in Action: LGBTIQ+ Suicide Prevention Forum - LGBTIQ+ Health Australia

Leadership in Action: LGBTIQ+ Suicide Prevention Forum

The Leadership in Action: LGBTIQ+ Suicide Prevention Forum, 12 & 13 May 2022, is a community-focused forum that brings together key MindOut stakeholders to discuss various types of leadership in Australian LGBTIQ+ suicide prevention.

MindOut develops and delivers national suicide prevention initiatives for the mental health and suicide prevention sectors to help them meet the needs of LGBTIQ+ populations. The MindOut program aims to improve mental health outcomes and reduce suicide and suicidal behaviour amongst LGBTIQ+ people and communities.

The online forum is an opportunity for LGBTIQ+ community leaders, advocates, people with lived experience, mental health practitioners, and Primary Health Networks (PHN) to explore effective models of leadership and program delivery.

The forum sessions have been co-designed by MindOut's four advisory groups: Sector Professionals Advisory Group, Peer Expert Advisory Group, Mindout Champions Network, PHN Suicide Prevention and LGBTIQ+ Inclusion Network.

The sessions have been informed by LGBTIQ+ Health Australia's response to the priorities identified in the second National LGBTIQ+ Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Strategy.

Register for one or two sessions, or for the entire two days, by visiting mindoutforum.org.au
