Listening to LGBT seniors - LGBTIQ+ Health Australia

Listening to LGBT Seniors

"I don’t want to be treated differently, just included."

National Seniors Australia last week released Listening to LGBT Seniors, their report on how LGBT older Australians' gender and/or sexuality has affected their age-related life-experiences and expectations.

The report was created with the assistance of LGBTIQ+ Health Australia, and by LGBT seniors sharing their experiences and life stories in the 8th annual National Seniors Social Survey and in follow-up interviews.

National Seniors Australia trusts that these important voices of LGBT older people will help raise awareness of the rights of all seniors to access representation and have an equal voice for change.
