Understanding the differences between Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer people

LGBTIQ+ refers to lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and gender diverse people, people with innate variations of sex characteristics, and people who identify as queer or who are questioning their sexual orientation or gender. The “+” recognises the diversity of sexual orientation, gender and variations of sex characteristics beyond those represented by the initials.
