Dementia Action Week 2022 - LGBTIQ+ Health Australia

Dementia Action Week 2022

Dementia impacts close to half a million Australians and almost 1.6 million Australians are involved in their care.

People living with dementia can live active and fulfilling lives many years after diagnosis. Despite this, they often experience discrimination. LGBTI people living with dementia also face the intersection of discrimination and stigma based on their sexuality, intersex status or gender identity.

Whether you are a friend, family member or healthcare professional, there are small but significant things that anyone can do to support someone living with dementia.

Find out more on the Dementia Action Week website.
